Business Development Director
Business Development Director will be responsible for identifying and engaging clients as well as managing client relationships during the full life cycle of client campaigns. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with a Linguistic Service Provider or Call Center.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Establish and carry out departmental or organizational goals, policies, and procedures for the OPI/VRI team and oversee the financial and budgetary activities
- Manage general activities related to Interpretation Services and Customer Success. Negotiate or approve vendor contracts and agreements.
- Create and analyze financial statements, sales reports, and other performance indicators for cost savings opportunities.
- Identify places to cut costs and to improve performance, policies, and programs.
- Enforce operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to increase productivity and performance
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures for Customer Success, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Recruiting departments.
- Develop new client relationships via cold calling, market research, and different events
- Elaborate and implement business plans on current targets, generate sales for the company
- Identify, qualify, develop, and close sales opportunities
- Develop an effective understanding of the competitive advantages of the company’s services
- Provide customer’s support and manage client expectations together with the Executive Team
- Manage and control pricing and contractual issues by developing a thorough understanding of company procedures
- Manage and lead a high performing and highly accountable sales team as the company grows: Project Managers, Sales Personnel, Business Development Managers, etc.
- Foster and close new clients through referrals, networking, and other means (social networks, etc.)
- Improve current business strategy
- Negotiate rates and deadlines with prospective and current clients
- Educate prospective and existing clients regarding the translation process, including company rates, estimations for turnaround time and competitors’ information
- Give presentations and speeches on different topics from the industry
- Maintain good and productive relationships with subordinates, partners, vendors, leaders
- Perform other special projects or duties when required
Required Skills:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- At least 3-5 years of sales experience in LSP or Call Center or Health Care Industry
- Proven sales life cycle experience – lead generation through business closing
- Proven track record in achieving sales target
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
