Sr Account Program Manager Localization C104 – Los Angeles, CA Hybrid

My client is a language services provider (LSP) working with brand name corporations and advertising clients. They are looking for a Sr. AM/PM to join their growing team, with in-office-work 2 days/week for better team cohesion and camaraderie and work-from-home 3 days per week, allowing flexibility in the best of scenarios.

Job Description:
Your role is managing a small (3-5) team of project/account managers to produce multiple translation projects for multiple clients, in multiple languages. You will also oversee and manage relationships with clients, linguists, and your internal team.

Client-side responsibility:

  • understand client requests and end-goals for projects
  • create and maintain a successful translation workflow
  • schedule internal and external meetings
  • run KPIs, invoicing and track the progress of the accounts

Internally responsibility:

  • manage an assigned, global account on a day-to-day basis
  • maintain overview of accounts managed by your direct reports
  • help oversee everyone’s capacity, delegating work/tasks and performing check-ins and regular assessments of your team members
  • support your team members with day-to-day queries relating to clients, quoting, and project management.
  • support the team’s more strategic questions, such as identifying growth opportunities in existing relationships
  • help resolve sensitive situations with both customers and suppliers
  • work with the senior team management to onboard and train new employees

You are:
Resourceful, rigorous, and passionate for language in your day-to-day work. In particular, you bring positivity to the workplace – in your dealings with colleagues, your dealings with clients and your general attitude to the work.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in the localization industry
  • Experience with CAT tools and modern office software
  • Fluency in English as well as working proficiency in another language
  • Knowledge of video and static production processes is a plus
  • US citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa
  • Masters degree in language translation or related subject
  • Living or willing to relocate to LA area and work from the office 1-2 days/week
