Localization Content Quality Reviewer A803 – Menlo Park, CA

Job description:

In this role you will be working closely with a global, cross-functional team to drive development and approvals of legal content for all packaging items including external packaging disclosures and in-box Safety & Warranty Guide, Quick Start Guide, and Exterior Sleeve. You will be supporting our legal packaging team to help manage their inputs and reviews for our entire line of consumer products and accessories. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in communicating with various stakeholders and driving business partners to meet project schedules within multiple work streams.

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of experience as a producer, project manager, program manager or equivalent. Strong background establishing processes or systems, supporting teams, and developing relationships.

Support managing legal content, layout, proofreading, editing, formatting, version control and overall quality written by the team. Manage process for obtaining legal review of translations including inputting content into localization tool for review with outside business partners and legal stakeholders. Create and execute on localization of schedule with vendors to ensure that deliveries are completed accurately and on time. Plan, create, and maintain technical documentation for archiving. Experience in organizational and process documentation.

Strong accountability and ownership of tasks in a fast-paced, ambiguous work environment.

Manage updates and revisions to all technical literature.

Technical writing and/or document managing/processing skills preferred.

Minimum:

BS degree or 3+ years equivalent working in consumer electronics packaging, product

or hardware development, or legal document review.

Advanced skills in G-Suite and Microsoft Office tools.

Experience working within large organizations and working effectively across time zones.

 Key Projects:

They will need to read and self-edit this content like a tech writer

– editing documents and PDF’s for legal items that go into packaging.

-These documents are created digitally and educated as a PDF

-will be reviewing these PDF’s and editing them. Not creating but they will be reviewing based on the legal team edits.

-doing a lot of document processing.

-managing formatting and proof reading legal content.

-They will need to review with the legal team and input the doc within the localization team to them review the output of the content. They going back to the layout to ensure the languages are formatted correctly

Task breakdown:

  • Responsible for editing, rewriting, and authenticating user manuals, application papers, product description, data sheets, and specification books.
  • Receives text from internal sources and rewrites documentation in a clear and concise style.
  • Improves editorial and visual standards for documents and recommends new designs, layouts and procedures as needed.
  • Edits, writes and/or rewrites articles, publications, presentations, and other materials to communicate clearly and effectively research findings, technical developments, and other news and information.
