The Position

We are seeking a full-time,  Translation Project Manager in our New York City offices.

The right candidate would ideally possess the following qualities:

  1. Self-starter
  2. Extremely detailed oriented
  3. Able to function independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  4. Willing and able to take ownership of projects from request to delivery
  5. Relationship builder – good at forging new relationships with linguist vendors
  6. Not afraid to pick up the phone and speak to anyone

This position will work alongside the Director of Production and other Production staff having direct, daily contact with company stakeholders.

This candidate will have the opportunity to learn all the facets of our business operations. The right candidate will have the ability to make a long-term impact and help grow our business at a very exciting time. As a member of our team, your main focus will be:

  • Vendor management and recruitment
  • Assisting the sales team in the preparation of project estimates
  • Closely managing the lifecycle of translation projects
  • Direct client interaction when dealing with in-bound leads
  • Assisting the various other internal projects, as necessary

Desired Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task calmly, quickly, and efficiently in a high pressure, deadline driven environment
  • Adaptability to a changing work environment is crucial
  • Fluency or near fluency with at least one language other than English strongly preferred
  • Experience in the translation or legal industries a plus but not essential
  • Strong computer skills including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and web-based applications
  • Please note that this is NOT a translation position
