English Speaking Linguistic Project Manager J484 – Mountain View, CA

 

The role of the Linguistic Project Manager is to consult with Natural Language Understanding Researchers on creating guidelines and setting standards for a variety of NLP projects. This includes:

— Consulting with researchers and engineers on the development of linguistic databases
— Identifying and assigning required tasks for a project
— Reviewing, evaluating and analyzing data quality before delivery
— Contribute to the development and innovation of tooling developments, standard operating procedures, and expansion to new data areas
— Continuously evaluate data tools and processes and offer solutions to ensure they are efficient, high quality, and scalable
— Selected candidates will sometimes need to work flexible hours in the office, as the team is global
— Selected candidates will work onsite

Skill/Experience/Education

Mandatory

— Degree in Linguistics or Computational Linguistics, with experience specializing in semantics, syntax, morphology, lexicography, phonetics or phonology

— Fluent in English. Ability to speak more than one language is preferred

— Previous project management and people management experience

— Experience with data operations and data management

— Quick learner with ability to quickly grasp technical concepts

— Independent worker with the ability to effectively operate with flexibility in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment

— Team player with exceptional interpersonal and solution-oriented attitude

— Excellent oral and written communication skills, and good organizational skills

Desired

— Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative analysis, regular expressions or programming languages

— Experience in managing process and operational escalations

— Practical experience in natural language processing
