Localization Software Engineer A942 – Remote

– Plan, install, and monitor software to meet overall information technology needs
– Collaborate with users, vendors, clients and managers to understand and assess computing and system needs and requirements
– Communicate and oversee the implementation of the goals, policies, and procedures of the company to the CIS team; develops plans to implement these needs
– Evaluate current technology use and needs of the company and recommend software and tools improvements
– Manage and maintain backups of all systems
– Database administration
– Data-flow management, storage, backup, and archiving for large amounts of audio, video, and text data
– Oversee and own Risk Management Process and information security – Support corporate applications: email, knowledge management and collaboration apps, XTRF, Atlassian, Slack, Google Workspace, etc.
– Support in-the-field data collection users and equipment, including telephony servers and mobile recording platforms Assure all software has all required software patches
– Assist with user workstation maintenance (software and hardware)
– Contribute to knowledge sharing through clear documentation of processes
– Prepare and deliver operational or project progress reports.
– Implement and oversee operational budget
– Perform other related duties as assigned

– 5 or more years of experience in this role or similar Knowledge of AWS, firewalls, logging, VPN and other secure communications systems

-Experience with XTRF a plus

-Experience working with Atlassian, Slack and Google workspace

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills

-Experience in Mac OS X and Windows administration

-Experience working with SQL databasesLinux, NoSQL databases

-Familiarity with common cloud applications Ability to balance tension between strong security and user experience and access.
