Business Development Manager, US – remote

Position Summary
Reporting to the VP Sales, the BDM is responsible for growing business within an established customer base and hunting for new logos. The candidate will use all of their developed sales skills to manage client relationships and be the POC for their clients. Additionally, working independently, the candidate will identify and develop new logos for the company.

The BDM works closely with Project Management to ensure client expectations are met during project delivery and remains the client advocate throughout the project and ongoing relationship with their clients. The BDM is responsible for ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to corporate standards, and that client requirements are met and, preferably, exceeding client expectations.

Primary Duties, include but not limited to:

  • Actively hunt, develop and close new translation and localization business achieving incremental revenue for the company of both NEW and CURRENT clients, with a goal to meet or exceed and assigned quota
  • Develop and execute strategies and structure and negotiate agreements for translation and localization solutions, providing by prospective clients with information about the company, solutions, pricing structure, production processes, project management, and customer service.
  • Advise management about sales strategies and obtain approval of all proposals and estimates before submitting them to the client.
  • Resolve client issues and anticipate when issues might arise, by bringing in Project Management and/or Management resources, when necessary, to resolve potential conflict
  • Provide input regarding company processes and procedures that could improve workflow and delivery of projects to clients.
  • Keep internal company communication and business systems up-to-date with information regarding client interactions and project schedules
  • Represent company at tradeshows, expos and conference

Required Experience

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in sales or project management related activities is required and experience in selling Translation and Localization services
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and commercial awareness. Excellent work ethics, work habits, and ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information.
  • Team player, mature, and professional.
  • Creative thinker who takes the initiative to get tasks completed. Investigates new ways of accomplishing goals, who is a well-organized, project coordinator, adept at problem-solving, and client-services oriented.
  • Familiarity with current technology, Windows applications, and web technology.
  • Able to handle stress and excel in a fast-paced working environment.
