The Sr. Project Manager for Translation Services role will develop and maintain a strong team environment by providing leadership and coaching foundations to the assigned team of Translation Project Managers. This role will lead and supervise the translation team into specific areas/tasks such as (1) be proficient and master new CAT tools capabilities to increase ROI and project efficiency, (2) control cost performance and productivity to achieve profit margin goal, (3) track, improve and maximize the use of existing technology by driven the project flow through the CAT tools. Additionally, the Project Manager will support the efforts driven by the QA department and the Operations Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to the translation team to ensure the needs of the client are met
  • Leads and continuously looks for improvement in operations within the translation department to meet objectives for operational excellence
  • Ensure and lead compliance for training of all Project Managers
  • Executes strategies to achieve operational costs
  • Assists management in identifying trends and forecasts future sales
  • Ensures confidentiality in all communications internal and external
  • Assists sales department when needed in proposal writing
  • Organizes daily workflow to meet all deadlines
  • Understands and executes department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives
  • Leverages all software to maximize customer satisfaction and excellent supplier performance
  • Maintains focus on flow of work and schedules for timely delivery
  • Supports and implements supplier resource and quality assurance initiatives as well provide feedback for resource needed.
  • Responsible for data analysis collection and metrics, along with team’s implementation of CAT tools and technology for the data source.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Planning and organizational management skills
  • Ability to apply sound business principles and practices to department management
  • Modify processes to create solutions for clients
  • Proficiency in but not limited to; Microsoft Word, Excel, Project Management, CAT (MemoQ)- tools and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
  • Competent in Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and five or more years of related work experience; Linguistic
  • Industry experience preferred
  • Experience in Translation project management (3 years)
  • Translation Services software expert (2 years)
  • Client service expert
  • Progressively responsible for client solutions
  • Bilingual Preferred
