As a Project Manager in the PMO, you work with internal and external project stakeholders to manage the timely flow of all project actions from initiation to delivery, ensuring that projects meet quality, turn-around time and budget expectations.

The candidate should possess solid project management skills including some familiarity with different project management methodologies (Agile, PMP, etc.). The candidate should be comfortable and willing to follow stringent quality processes in order to product the highest quality deliverable to our clients.

Project Responsibilities:
– Manage the entire life-cycle of multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
– Plan and monitor projects to meet deadline, quality and budget requirements
– Coordinate all the project phases and efficiently predict the lifespan of all the stages of the project
– Ability to anticipate pitfalls or potential roadblocks to successful project completion by being proactive
– Ensure the accuracy of financial project data, workflows, schedules and processes to maximize efficiency and profitability
– Ensure feedback is provided to project resources
– Identify risks, constraints, and assumptions and develop contingency plan
– Liaise with sales staff to clarify project parameters
– Negotiate deadlines and rates with vendors
– Organize internal and client Kick-off and Postmortem Project Meetings.
– Perform quality checks at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy
– Prepare and maintain project documentation
– Responsible for tracking and maintaining communication and setting achievable service and delivery expectations
– Establish and maintain excellent relationships with contract vendors (i.e. translators, editors, Publishing specialist, etc.)
– Resolve questions and issues in a timely and effective manner for clients and internal teams.

Client Account Ownership Responsibilities:
– Manage client relationships and serve as primary day-to-day contact for external clients.
– Create strong relationship with the customer, understand the client’s team dynamic, their business goals, priorities and challenges and support new business development opportunities
– Collaborate with production teams to create, implement and maintain appropriate client-specific procedures, solutions, checklists and instructions
– Educate and inform clients about the translation process and best industry practices to build strong client relationships and provide successful solutions delivery
– For assigned accounts, review financial data, performance and profitability results, customer complaints and assist with new project analysis and quotation as needed
– Increasing the level of accounts delivery quality, adding value to the account by improving processes, implementing innovations, raising efficiency to consistently exceed quality standards
– Organize and participate in client meetings
– Overall responsibility for the timely flow of all account’s project actions from the initiation to the closing phase, ensuring that projects meet set constraints (time, budget, quality)
– Serve as an escalation point on individual projects as well as the overall account.
– Set and manage client expectations

Qualifications/Experience:
– 4-year degree
– Minimum of 1-2 years project management experience
– Minimum of 1 year of client facing communication
– Experience in translation, localization, or publishing project management would be a strong advantage
– Experience in using CAT tools will be considered an asset
– Fluency in a second language a plus
