Localization Operations Program Manager

The Localization team is seeking an experienced Localization Operations Program Manager to help tackle our clients’ growing localization needs. At this company, it’s essential that we maintain a close connection with users regardless of which language they speak. With millions of published words, communicating messages across 400+ cities in 70+ countries, we need your help to ensure that internal teams are properly supported by Localization Team on their global launches. As an early member of our Localization Team, and the first Localization Operations hire, you’ll have the opportunity to build the local roots of an expanding global brand.

In this role you’ll wear many hats: You’ll be the liaison between localization engineering, internal localization team, cross functional stakeholders, and vendors to ensure localization tools and processes properly capture all requirements for functionality, efficiency and scalability. You will be responsible for documenting requirements, writing PRDs, creating mock-ups, and defining localization tools roadmap and automation. You’ll also help with other areas of Localization Operations such as vendor management, RFP/QBR process, tools configurations/set up, internal documentation, and training. You’re an expert in solving complex problems and can produce scalable technical solutions. Relationship management and collaborative attitude are a must.

Interested candidates should have a proven track record of high quality localization operations experience, a passion for the company’s vision and mission, and great attention to details.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Localization tools’ roadmap with focus on functionality, scalability and efficiency
  • Identify tool & process gaps, write PRDs, develop Mock-ups, and interface Localization engineering team to design, implement and launch new tools and processes, or improve upon existing ones
  • Develop & maintain key relationships with stakeholders
  • Proactively lead localization tools-related internal and cross-functional initiatives
  • Work closely with localization vendors and ensure compliance to company’s technical requirements
  • Gather requirements from LPMs (Localization Project Managers) and LSs (Language Specialists) on localization tools/process needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, such as Marketing and Help Content teams, and guide them on how to best integrate their CMSs into Localization pipeline and/or improve existing integration
