Loc Vice President of Operations M211 – NJ or NY area

 

The VP of Operations will have responsibility for the production, delivery, and quality of language services produced through internally managed projects as well as partner organizations.  This individual will also be responsible for the development and implementation of next generation production strategies, new technology, the conceptualization / development of language solutions for unique market opportunities, as well as administrative, human resources, and accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, then implement, a production strategy that will differentiate the company and allow it to become a price performance leader in the language services field, including internal IT systems, language services tools, partnering, and / or remote production centers
  • Day to day management of Production to insure timely delivery of Company’s language services
  • Continually improve process and procedures to insure that Company’s quality objectives are met in accordance with ISO and EN standards
  • Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors as needed to support the Company’s growth on a global basis
  • Manage subcontractor relationships
  • Support major opportunity sales proposal process through cost estimates and conceptualization of specialized processes that create a competitive advantage on specific opportunities
  • Manage human resources function, including benefits, performance reviews, recruiting, and disciplinary actions
  • Provide day to day supervision of bookkeeping functions to ensure that vendors receive timely payment, receivables are collected within appropriate aging and that the CEO  receives accurate and timely financial information

Desired Skills & Experience

•     8+ years’ experience managing a translation production environment

•     Experience with management of complex multi-language projects

•     Experience working and communicating successfully within international teams

  • Strong foundation in translation tools and technology

•     Working knowledge of basic accounting functions

  • Experience creating and documenting business processes
  • Ability to supervise the creation of reports required by government entities for 8(a), GSA, and minority status certifications
