The Translation Department provides multi-lingual communication experience in over 180 languages and dialects for translation, audio transcription, desktop publishing and website localization. The Translation Department Manager is responsible for the overall success of the department, overseeing all projects handled by the Project Managers, working with our sales & marketing team to further drive the success and reach of the company, maintaining quality standards as outlined in our ISO 9001:2008 policy.


  • To provide an effective and high quality written translations service which meets customers’ needs and contractual performance targets, and gives a good financial return to the company.
  • To lead, develop and manage the performance of the Translation & Transcription Team, including external freelance translators, effectively.
  • To take an active role in the management team to maintain and build the business, seeking new customers and contracts.


Translation & Transcription Services

  • Ensure compliance with all contracts for both government and multinational companies’ work agreements
  • Vendor solicitations & negotiation of rates
  • Ensure quality & timely delivery of all projects
  • Continually seek ways to improve on quality and cost effectiveness of our services
  • Work with Marketing consultants and Business Development Manager to help secure new business and further grow / develop services

Leadership, Performance Management, and Quality Standards

  • Lead and manage the Translation & Transcription Team to enable staff to provide a high quality interpreting service that meets contractual and financial targets and demonstrates our mission and values, including leading regular team meetings and briefings
  • Carry out regular performance development reviews, including identification of their development needs
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a healthy and safe working environment
  • Ensure that all facets of the working process are done according to the ISO 9001:2008 Standard Operating Procedure, and make any updates / modifications to the SOPs as necessary
  • Collaborate with other departments to enable the company to provide high quality, customer-focused services and seamless processes
  • Ensure that confidential information held both physically and electronically is not accessible to unauthorized persons


  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Management position
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Project Manager at a Translation Company
  • Bilingual is preferred but not required
