Localization Business Development Director or VP Sales C449 – Hackensack NJ

This European language services company acquired a US LSP and is now looking to grow their USHQ office. Until recently, the company had a team of two Business Development Managers in the USA. With one recent departure, new opportunities present themselves.

Our company is a very important industrial group, however, in the US, we are a small translation company, recently established, and therefore ramping up our brand recognition. On the other hand, we’re quite advanced technologically for our size, very responsive, flexible, competitive and agile, and care very much about all our clients, even the small ones are important for us.

We believe we can offer a very interesting opportunity for a sales professional who has the right character, experience and motivation and can help us grow and can grow with us.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We’re considering two different types of profile, about which we will decide based on the candidates available and our feelings about them.

PROFILE 1: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER.

This profile corresponds to the one that is being replaced. Should have experience in Localization or Translation Sales, a clear “hunter” profile that is not afraid to build up his/her own client base, with client contacts he/she could use.

We’re open to allow remote working but would rather have someone from not too far from our office location (NYC area of NJ) so that he/she can work on site when we travel there.

PROFILE 2: SALES VICE-PRESIDENT

Experience in selling or managing Localization or Translation Sales a must. Apart from the sales activity, the position would also include co-leading the sales strategy and the performance of the team: verticals, market research, marketing needs, etc.

The candidate must be skilled at balancing the both the strategic part and the hunting parts – closing of his/her own leads – with a higher balance on the second. We’d very much welcome a good deal of contribution on strategic thinking, but right now we need to increase sales through an increase of lead generation and closing.
